Livestrong Banded Together Tour — Community Fundraiser Highlight

Founded by husband and wife restauranteurs Marc Alton and Wendy Kuhns, Sharky’s Ride the Beaches is back and celebrating its 18th year.

Kicking off at Venice Beach restaurant Sharky’s on the Pier, the ride will feature 15, 35, and 75-mile routes through the beautiful island of Venice, intercoastal waterway, Manasota Key, farmlands, and more. Sharky’s employees, as well as community members, donate their time to make this event successful, raising an incredible $292,000 for charitable causes, including critical cancer survivorship programs provided by Livestrong.

Livestrong is excited to include Sharky’s Ride the Beaches as a stop on the ‘Banded Together Tour’. In honor of its 25th anniversary, the Livestrong Foundation is asking its cancer-fighting community to share their stories to help identify the missing links in cancer care. We are all linked by cancer. No matter your connection, your story matters.
